The Community Christian Choir performs during the fall season.
Community Christian Choir is set to open registration for its 39th season.
Registration is scheduled for 3 to 8 p.m. Jan. 24 at Hamilton Square Presbyterian Church, 3550 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
The adult and children’s choir are set to present a series of benefit concerts in April and May at several area venues. To date, the choirs have raised more than $195,000 for area charities through their benefit concert series.
The Community Christian Choir is a multi-denominational group. Members represent more than 45 congregations in Central Jersey and Bucks County, Pa. Church affiliation is not required for membership in the choir.
The choir has both adult and children divisions that sing a variety of music ranging from traditional to contemporary Christian music.
The children’s choir has divisions for age six to 12th grade. Singers are placed according to experience, ability and commitment.
Children’s division rehearsals are scheduled for Sunday afternoons at Pond Road Middle School in Robbinsville. The first rehearsal is set for Jan. 26.
The adult choir is un-auditioned and rehearses two to three Friday evenings a month. There is also an auditioned adult ensemble. Practice tracks are provided for registered singers. Music reading ability is helpful but not required.
