Robbinsville-based Country Gardens garden center is set to expand this spring to include both a farm market and a Saturday open-air farmer’s market.
The garden center, owned by Frank Pintimalli and his family, has been selling nursery and garden supplies for 20 years. Pintimalli’s new venture is set to feature local produce, organic milk and freshly-baked bread.
Beginning in early May, the Country Gardens new farm market is set to offer locally-grown produce, pasture-raised eggs, organic milk and other foods and snacks, as well as an organic coffee and juice/smoothie bar.
The garden center is set to host a weekly open-air farmer’s market on Saturday beginning May 24.
Farmer’s market vendors are set to include Kevin’s Salad Station, Sylvie’s Crepes, Deli on a Bagel, Unionville Winery, Birds and Bees Farm, Barn & Stone House, Gourmet Nuts & Dried Fruit, N.J. Gourmet Pickles & Olives, DeWolf Farms, Griggstown Farms, and Good Tree Organic Farms.
Pintimalli and his family founded Country Gardens in 1993. The original store was called Quakerbridge Iris Gardens, and was founded in 1986 in Hamilton Township.
Country Gardens is located at 42 Robbinsville Edinburg Road in Robbinsville and is now opened daily, year round.
