Local tour guiding company Bordentown Walking Tours’ first scheduled event for 2026 marks the return of its Lovers Lane Date Night Mini-Tour.

The 30-minute guided tour, led by owner, teacher, and guide Mark Neurohr-Pierpaoli, aims to provide couples a fun, affordable, and entertaining themed night out ahead of Valentine’s Day. The thirty-minute tour runs at 7PM and again at 8PM on Saturday, February 7th, a week ahead of love’s traditional holiday.

“Many couples make dinner plans for the 14th,” says Neurohr-Pierpaoli. “I wanted to give folks the opportunity to fall in love with our town a week beforehand so they come back again.”

The Lovers Lane Tour falls on the same weekend as the Downtown Bordentown Association’s annual February Chocolate Walk, which is scheduled to be held on Friday, Feb. 6. Neurohr-Pierpaoli plans to dress as fictional chocolatier Willy Wonka for that event to help promote the city’s businesses.

“Bordentown is full of character and charm,” says Neurohr-Pierpaoli. “It always has been, but there are still people who are only finding out now.”

The Lovers Lane Tour is set to begin at the John Bull Monument next to the Old Town Pub (135 Farnsworth Ave) and work its way through the historic district. The guided tour will include both romantic and humorous stories of real-life historic couples from Bordentown’s storied past.

The one night event will operate on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. Reservations are required. Tickets can be purchased in advance at bordentownwalkingtours.com.

Local Walking Tours (www.localwalkingtours.com) operates tours in Bordentown, Burlington, Mount Holly and New Brunswick. Bordentown Walking Tours was established in 2018.

“This will be another big year,” says Neurohr-Pierpaoli. “2026 marks America’s 250th birthday, and we have so much history in our one square mile. We have every reason to expect people will be flocking to Bordentown. Of course, we’ll be here to show them around.”
