During National Volunteer Month this April, SCORE Princeton is celebrating the contributions of its volunteers, who provided free mentoring and guidance to hundreds of aspiring and current small business owners throughout the past year.
In fiscal year 2024, SCORE Princeton volunteers held 1,757 mentoring sessions with 853 entrepreneurs, helping them start and grow businesses, reach new levels of success and strengthen the local economy through job creation.
“SCORE is the most effective source of small business mentoring in the U.S.,” said SCORE Princeton Chapter Chair Anil Fernandes. “We are proud to be making a positive difference right here in our local community.”
SCORE’s national data shows that small business owners who receive three or more hours of mentoring report increased revenues and stronger business growth.
SCORE Princeton offers free resources to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey, from launching a business to long-term strategic planning.
“We are grateful to the more than 10,000 SCORE volunteers nationwide who selflessly dedicate their time and business expertise to help entrepreneurs achieve their dreams,” said SCORE CEO Bridget Weston.
National Volunteer Month, held every April, honors the contributions of volunteers across the country and encourages others to get involved in their communities. SCORE encourages anyone interested in giving back to consider becoming a volunteer mentor.
