D&R Canal Watch to hold 5-K run March 28

The D&R Canal Watch is set to hold its 24th annual 5K Fun Run on Saturday, March 28 in Washington Crossing State Park near the visitor center. The race will begin at 10 a.m. and will follow a scenic route through Washington Crossing State Park and the Delaware and Raritan Canal towpath.

Runners of all ages and abilities are invited to participate. Prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers and top three male and female winners in six age categories. Participants will be eligible for randomly drawn special prizes.

T-shirts will be given to all pre-registrants. Same-day registrants will receive T-shirts while supplies last. Free orange juice, water and bagels will be available at the finish line.

Pre-registration fee is $25; for families of three or more $65. Same-day registration for $30 begins at 8:45 a.m. Pre-register for the run by March 23.
