West Windsor Council, during its June 6 meeting, took the following actions:##M:[more]##
Approved an ordinance requiring affordable housing by developers’ whose properties are rezoned from residential to commercial, or zoned to allow a higher density.
Approved an ordinance transferring the administration of the township’s affordable housing program from the state’s Affordable Housing Management Service to Piazza & Associates of Plainsboro.
Passed resolutions authorizing the following grant funds to be included in the 2005 budget: $44,”526 from the federal COPS Technology program; $8,”500 from the state’s Child Passenger Safety Education program; $4,”000 from the state Click It or Ticket program; $21,”517 from the state’s Clean Communities program; $50,”000 from the state’s Domestic Preparedness Equipment program; $50,”000 from the Mercer County Canine Incentive; and $4,”275 from the state’s Body Armor Fund.
Authorized the following contracts: $10,”810 to Van Note Harvey Associates of West Windsor for the preparation of topographic maps for the Millstone Bypass; $26,”417 to Stout’s Charter Service of Trenton to provide motor coach transportation for the recreation department’s Prime Time program; $16,”221 to George Dapper of Iselin to provide school buses for recreation ‘s Prime Time and various camp programs.
