Four West Windsor artists have won awards for their work in the Mercer County Artists show. Michalyn S. Tarantino received the West Windsor Arts Council Award for her watercolor “Wabi-Sabi.” Andrew Werth received a juror’s honorable mention and a West Windsor Arts Council honorable mention for his acrylic painting “In Light of Our Knowledge.” Kuen Liao received a purchase award for his watercolor “Natural Rock Bridge.” Louis Cicchini received a West Windsor Arts Council honorable mention for his mixed media work “Ecce Homo.”##M:[more]##
The exhibit at Mercer County Community College is on view through Friday, February 16. This is the 35th anniversary of the annual exhibit, a collaboration between the college and The Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
This year’s art critic Burt Wasserman served as juror. A well-established artist who taught fine arts and art appreciation courses for many years at Rowan University, Wasserman now writes for the Philadelphia-based art newspaper, “Art Matters.”

Kali McMillan, also of West Windsor, has her photograph “Mist in the Mountains” on display at the winter exhibit at Gallery 125 in Trenton. A June graduate of High School South and a freshman at Colgate University, this is her fifth exhibit. The exhibit runs from February 9 to April 6.
