The Trenton Public Education Foundation (TPEF) received two grants totaling $30,000 from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and an anonymous donor to support work to enhance STEM and arts education programs in the Trenton Public School District.
The Dodge Foundation awarded the TPEF a grant of $15,000 for support of the leadership of the Kennedy Center Any Given Child arts education strategic planning effort. While the Kennedy Center offered guidance last year to develop the arts education plan for the district, there was additional work needed to recruit and develop a community arts leadership team, conduct school and community surveys, plan multiple meetings, and support goal-based committees.
An anonymous donor gave $15,000 to the TPEF to be used to support the administrative needs of the TPEF.
The Trenton Public Education Foundation is dedicated to providing education opportunities for the Trenton Public School Children in the areas of STEM and arts education programs. The TPEF is the home organization to the Kennedy Center Any Given Child program which aims to provide quality and equitable arts education programs in dance, music, theater, visual arts, and media arts, to all students, pre-K to grade 8. Trenton will include Grades 9-12. For more information, visit tpef.org.
