Trenton Catholic Academy student Jamayrah Moore has been selected to represent Trenton as a National Youth Correspondent to the 2014 Washington Journalism and Media Conference.
Moore joins a group of students from across the country for an intensive study of journalism and media. Moore was chosen based on academic accomplishments and a demonstrated interest and excellence in journalism and media studies.
National Youth Correspondents participate in hands-on learning through decision-making simulations that challenge them to solve problems and explore the creative, practical, and ethical tensions in journalism and media.
The conference also features speakers who are well-known leaders in the media community. Presenters include prominent journalists, CEOs of media outlets, researchers and recent college graduates entering the field. Last year’s conference included Hoda Kotb, Candy Crowley, Brian Lamb and Neil Leifer.
The Washington Journalism and Media Conference is scheduled for July 13 to 18 at George Mason University.
