Sgt. Thomas Rich, a certified police officer in the State of New Jersey, full time cyber-safety expert for STOPit and the creator and CEO of Always Connected (alwaysconnected.org) visited Princeton Day School on October 16, 2015 to speak with parents and students on the subject of “Cyber-Safety and Managing Your Child’s Digital Footprint.”
Sgt. Rich has spent the past seven years traveling the country and speaking to more than 500,000 students and their parents on the topics of technology and cyberbullying. He has been featured on Good Morning America, Fox 5 News and the Nancy Grace Show.
Sgt. Rich spoke to parents at a Parents Association meeting, then with Middle School and Upper School students in special assemblies during the day. The presentation was an important component of the school’s new Health & Wellness initiative, and envisioned as an informative lecture for both parents and students on how to best protect your child and yourself online.
