Sonia Ang, an engineer, and her mother, Sonia Quiason, a former professor of chemistry at the University of the Philippines, donated several scientific journals to the science center of Plainsboro Library. The duo are long time residents of the Gentry subdivision in Plainsboro.
The journals include “Chemical and Engineering News,” “Nature Methods,” “Drug Discovery News,” “Photonics,” “Science,” “Journals of Natural Products,” “Scientists,” “Biophotonics,” and “American Laboratory Equipment.”
“These are all cutting-edge technologies references that can be of great help to students as well as to other members of the community,” says Quiason.
Library director Eileen Burnash accepted the scientific materials for the science section of the Library.
