For questions, call 609-716-8588.

When you hear the sirens, come out and meet Santa Claus and the fire department volunteers. Fire Chief Mike Leahy reminds you to put shoes on the kids before letting them run out to the fire truck.

Plainsboro Fire Company’s 2006 Santa Ride will be held on Friday and Saturday, December 15 and 16. Volunteers from the Fire Company and officers from the Police Department’s Community Outreach Resource and Education (CORE) unit will continue to assist with this event. A total of 27 neighborhoods will be visited and there will be 38 stops involved. Santa will be limited to a five-minute time period at each stop in order to keep on schedule.

“This year we are continuing with the format of a scheduled stop in each neighborhood, rather than trying to drive up and down each street,” said Deputy Chief Doug Vorp of the Plainsboro Fire Company. “We instituted these changes a couple of years ago and they continue to work well for us. To help Santa visit each neighborhood in a timely fashion, we will be on a strict schedule.”

Signs will be posted at each “Santa Stop” area. “The times posted are approximate,” said Vorp. “We strongly suggest arriving at the site early as Santa’s Sleigh may arrive early.”
