The Plainsboro Public Library Foundation has received a $7,500 donation that will benefit the library’s summer program. Princeton Forrestal Village, the Plainsboro-based mixed-used complex, is the donor and the title sponsor of the Mayor’s Cup 2015 Golf Scramble, which will be held Monday, September 21.

Summer programs include academic and cultural experiences such as creative writing, embroidery, and felt making programs. Register for the remaining summer programs on the Plainsboro Public Library website.

The fourth annual Mayor’s Cup takes place at the Meadows at Middlesex course. Lunch is available. Plainsboro Mayor Peter Cantu and members of the township’s business community will be in attendance.

“We are overjoyed with this most generous gift from Princeton Forrestal Village and hope that other corporations and individuals follow its lead by supporting this wonderful community resource,” said Foundation Library Board President Pam Hersh in a statement. “Sponsorship levels go from $100 to $5,000, and all the money goes directly to the library for summer programming.”

According to Hersh, more than 1,000 users frequent the library daily.
