The Princeton International Academy Charter School will be holding a series of information sessions through December.
The first session will be held on Saturday, October 16, at the South Brunswick Library. The second and third sessions on Saturday, November 13, and Saturday, December 11, will both be held at the Plainsboro Library. All sessions start at 1 p.m.
PIACS, scheduled to open in September, 2011, will consist of students from the Princeton, South Brunswick, and West Windsor-Plainsboro school districts. The school, which created a controversy when it was given a charter by the state, will be the first public school in these districts to offer an International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum framework as well as dual language Mandarin-English immersion.
Some argue that the school will take funds from the public schools, which PIACS officials deny.
