Morgan Denied Certification in Case Against Mayor Hsueh

Former West Windsor Councilman Charles Morgan suffered another setback in his legal battles against Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh, leaving him with one leg to stand on: his second lawsuit, an amended version of the first.

On Tuesday, March 20, the Supreme Court of New Jersey denied, with costs, his petition for certification in the first lawsuit he brought against the mayor. Township Attorney Michael W. Herbert confirmed that Morgan is now obligated to pay the filing and copy costs of West Windsor Township.

As for the second lawsuit, Herbert is optimistic that a similar outcome can happen.

“Special counsel will be applying to have that one dismissed,” Herbert said.
