Hinda Stark Travis of Escondido, California, died February 23 in Escondido after a brief illness. Survivors include her mother, Natalie Stark of West Windsor.

David Edwin Kamm, 57, of Hopewell died at home on February 29. An educational counselor and administrator for more than 30 years, he retired in 2005 after 15 years in the WW-P School District as a counselor at High School South.

Born in Pomono, California, he received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his master’s degree in counseling from the University of California, Los Angeles. Later in life, he received his doctorate in counseling, and maintained a private practice as a counselor and college advisor.

Kamm, in his career with the U.S. Army Reserves, attained the rank of lieutenant colonel prior to his retirement. He served in a number of positions in the Army Medical Services Corps and Civil Affairs assignments and was mobilized in support of Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12, at 11 a.m., at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Cranbury. Geraldine S. Gavalchin, 78, of Forked River, died March 4 in the Potomac Nursing Home, West Windsor. A resident of West Windsor from 1964 to 1984, she was employed by Opinion Research as a data collection manager. She was also involved with West Windsor Recreation programs and Little League.

Survivors include three sons, John E. Gavalchin, James Gavalchin, and Robert J. Gavalchin; two daughters, Jerrie Gavalchin, Bette Lee Farber; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Robert Schuster, and two sisters, Betty Snyder and Florence Santee.

Claire Sirulnick Derman, 93, died March 5, in Greenwood House, Ewing. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Natalie Derman of West Windsor.

Louis H. Pearlman, 78, of Monroe died March 5 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in New York City, he was a West Windsor resident for many years before moving to Clearbrook in 2004.

A graduate of Rutgers University, he was a self-employed mechanical engineer. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Elissa Pearlman; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Jeffrey Gould; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Blair Pearlman; a sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Raymond Groce; and two grandchildren, Ayanna and Aiden Gould.

Marilyn Maser Odachowski, 55, of West Windsor died March 6 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Newark, she was raised in Colonia. She lived in Rahway and Somerset before moving to West Windsor 11 years ago.

A graduate of Colonia High School, she did post graduate work at Kean University. A speech language specialist in the West Windsor-Plainsboro School district for 11 years, she worked at Upper Elementary School (now Millstone River) and Grover Middle School. The students referred to her as “Mrs. O.”

Odachowski taught religious education at St. David the King Church. For the past four years she participated in the Revlon Run/ Walk for Women in New York City.

Survivors include her husband, Anthony, and their three children, Katharine, Stephen, and Megan; her mother Cecilia; and her sisters, Eileen Ferreri and Karen Maser.

Charles A. Schwing Jr., 75, of Whiting died March 7 at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. He was a longtime Princeton and Hightstown resident. Donations may be made to APAW (Animal Placement of the Windsors), Box 162, West Windsor 08550.

Gloria Davison Orr, 82, of Versailles, Kentucky, died March 9 at Central Baptist Hospital. Born in Hightstown, she worked as a secretary for Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church, RCA Laboratories, and for Princeton University Bicentennial.

Survivors include her husband, John; three daughters; and five grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, and one brother. John J. Dzurkoc, 79, of West Windsor died Tuesday March 11 at Merwick Rehabilitation Hospital and Nursing Care in Princeton. Born in Trenton, he was retired from the State Department of the Treasury.

Survivors include his daughter, Carol Curtis of Lawrenceville; his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Ann Dzurkoc of Robbinsville; his three grandsons, Aaron, Jesse, and Leif Curtis; his sister, Mary Tomchik; his brother, George Dzurkoc; his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Deanna Dzurko; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald Schwendt, Karol and Nina Golinski, Agnes and Anthony Marfino, William and Lucy Van Ness, Donald and Gale Van Ness, Eleanor and Charles Britton, and Nicholas and Elaine Santowasso

Josefina Eleanor Pansacola-Eleazar, 94, of Cherry Hill died March 12. Survivors include a daughter, Anna Maria Calingo of West Windsor. Donations may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Marlton 08053.

Edmund J. Purnick, 81, of Hammond, Indiana, died on March 12. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla Purnick and Thomas Phalen of West Windsor; and grandchildren Lena, Paul, and Jessica Phalen. Donations may be made to cancer research.

Joseph R. (Bob) Andrews Jr., 74, of West Windsor died March 14 at home. Born in Trenton, he lived in the West Windsor area for the past 40 years.

A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a former member of the American Legion Post 76. He retired from General Motors Corp. with more than 20 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Stephanie Charydczak Andrews; son and daughter-in-law, William and Jamie Andrews of Suffolk, Virginia; son, Joseph R. Andrews III of West Windsor; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Terry Bussell of East Amwell; and daughter, Cathy Andrews of Glenpool, Oklahoma; sisters, Peg Silvani of Hamilton and Florence Gladfelter of Chesterfield. Also, grandchildren, Janice and her husband Jason Lopez, Bradley and his wife Melissa Andrews, James Andrews, Michael Bussell, David and Anthony Breece; a great-granddaughter, Sydney Lopez; brother-in-law and his wife, Roman and Carol Charydczak; and sister-in-law and her husband, Sophie and Grover Servis. Charles Thomas Waters Jr., of Fort Wayne, Indiana, died March 13 at his residence. Survivors include his sister, Cindy Waters of Plainsboro.

Thomas A. Young Sr., 81, of Monroe died March 14 Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Dennis Fyffe of West Windsor; and grandchildren, Ian and Gregory Fyffe. Sara (Sally) Jane Webb, 69, died March 14 at Princeton Medical Center. A longtime area resident, she was a parishioner of St. David the King Church and a member of the Catholic Club of West Windsor.

Survivors include by her daughter and son-in-law Susan and Peter Ciarrocca; her son Brendan Webb; her grandsons Cameron and Brett Ciarrocca; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Laura Cahalen, and John and Patty Cahalen; and her special friends Anne and Larry Ryan, Betty Ann and Bob Garver, Eleanor and Philip Maurer, Val and Ray Sullivan, Lynn Thornton, Marie O’Driscoll, Jean and Doug Lovejoy. Elizabeth Grant, 88, of Syracuse, New York, died at home on March 15. Survivors include a granddaughter, Rachelle of Plainsboro.
