University of Delaware: Melissa L. Baum of West Windsor was inducted in Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honor society that recognizes superior scholarship in a student’s first year at the university.
Mercer County College: Arthur Pittius of West Windsor received the Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management Award at a special ceremony recognizing distinguished honors graduates of Mercer County College on May 25. He recently received his associate degree and a certificate of proficiency in Professional Cooking on May 26.
After retiring from RCA Corporation, he decided to pursue his passion for the culinary arts. In 2002 he became active in the school’s Hospitality Club through which he volunteered his time and talents at many college functions. He is seeking a new career in the culinary field.
University of Rhode Island: Stacey L. Genna of West Windsor is on the dean’s list. She is a member of High School North, Class of 2004.
Towson University: Allyson Basil of Plainsboro, a junior majoring in elementary education, is on the dean’s list. She is a member of High School North, Class of 2002.
