Canna Remedies, a licensed adult-use cannabis dispensary in Ewing Township, celebrated its grand opening on Aug. 15,
The event was attended by a number of local officials and community leaders, including Mayor Bert Steinmann, Council President Kevin Baxter, Council Vice President Jennifer Keyes-Maloney, Township Planner Charles Latini and Planning Board member Fredricka Billups.
The ceremony featured a community celebration with discounts, giveaways and refreshments. The dispensary offers a wide range of products from established brands and emerging local growers.
“Our journey has been one of learning, growing and embracing new possibilities,” said Monica Werkheiser, head of operations for Canna Remedies. “Now, with Canna Remedies, we have the opportunity to educate, offer curated experiences, and elevate the standards of wellness through cannabis.”
The dispensary’s operations team includes individuals with extensive experience in the health and wellness sectors, as well as those who previously developed Pennsylvania’s first medical marijuana dispensary.
Canna Remedies offers a variety of discounts, including special rates for seniors, veterans, first responders and first-time customers. The dispensary’s interior, designed by RGW Architecture, combines modern wellness aesthetics with natural elements to create a serene and welcoming environment.
In addition to retail services, Canna Remedies plans to host educational programs and workshops for the community, addressing topics such as cannabis strains, vaping methods and the properties of terpenes and cannabinoids. The dispensary has already launched a virtual workshop focused on cannabis use for seniors.
