Construction crews plan to reopen the intersection of Alexander Street and University Place to vehicular traffic on Feb. 2.
The intersection, which is being reopened as a roundabout, is expected to be fully operational on Feb. 3.
Motorists are advised to follow posted signage, yield to vehicles already in the roundabout, and proceed slowly as the public becomes accustomed to the new intersection.
The temporary bypass road that had connected Alexander Street just north of the new Princeton commuter parking lot will close when the roundabout opens. The temporary light at College Road and University Place is expected to remain to open as the public becomes accustomed to the new roundabout.
The NJ Transit Princeton Station will remain in its current temporary location, south on Alexander Street. The Dinky train and the TigerPaWW bus service between Princeton and Princeton Junction will continue with no changes anticipated at this time.
