When John Terebey Jr. was looking for office space for his new company, he revisited West Windsor’s past and chose to renovate an existing piece of West Windsor’s history, the Dey barn on Sherbrooke Road. “The barn still reflects West Windsor’s past, keeping the authentic post and beam construction and exposed ceiling and pulleys,” says his wife, Maureen. “John proudly displays pictures of the barn’s past for all to come and see.”##M:[more]##
When the building was complete and the company barely moved into the office, the Terebeys invited their neighbors and friends to see the results of the renovations. Among the visitors were Charlie Dey II and his wife, Charlotte, also West Windsor residents. They shared photos of the former potato farm, the barn, Charles Lawrence Dey, and the corner of Sherbrooke and Princeton-Hightstown Road as it existed many years ago.
John Terebey Jr., born in New Brunswick Hospital (now Robert Wood Johnson), was raised in Somerset and attended Franklin High School and Middlesex County College. Maureen graduated from South Brunswick High School and the College of New Jersey. They moved to West Windsor 15 years ago and their children, Amanda 17, and John, 13, are making their way through the West Windsor-Plainsboro school system. Their adult children, Danielle 31, and Stacie 27, live in Florida.
John, always in sales, became a licensed realtor in 1986 and a licensed real estate broker in 1990.
