The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) held its annual Dining by Design gala fundraiser, “Back in Black,” on Nov. 8, raising approximately $100,000 in support of ACP’s ArtReach programs.
The evening featured cocktails, hors d-oeuvres, “Party Boards,” a sumptuous three-course dinner, a live performance by the Dave Grossman Trio and a Giant Puppet Performance by students from the ACP’s teen after-school program, “CAPs.” The Special Guest Auctioneer was Sebastian Clarke of Rago Auctions in Lambertville and PBS’s popular television program, Antiques Roadshow.
The event benefited ACP’s free ArtReach programs, which work to expose at-risk youth and low-income seniors in the Princeton region to the arts. These programs include Arts Exchange for HomeFront of Trenton, programs in partnership with Princeton Young Achievers, Princeton Nursery School and Princeton Regional Schools and Creative Aging Programming.
The ACP would like to thank its event sponsors, particularly Bloomberg, Judith and Bill Scheide, and NRG Energy, auction donors, CAPs Giant Puppet participants, and event committee, especially its talented Design Chair Dawn McClatchy and Auction Co-chairs Julia Gilbert and Karen Wilkinson.
