Pennington Dance instructor Jenny Gladney prepares for the five-week Contemporary Dance Workshop.
Pennington Dance is set to offer a five-week Contemporary Dance Workshop by professional dancer Jenny Gladney.
The piece created during the workshop will be a featured number in the Pennington Dance year-end performance set for June.
The workshop is designed for dancers with a foundation in contemporary dance or ballet, but those with strong jazz, lyrical or modern technique background are also eligible.
Workshop classes are scheduled to meet 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. on April 22, April 29, May 6, May 13 and May 20. Classes will be held at the Pennington Dance studio in the Cyrus Lodge, 131 Burd St., Pennington.
The cost is $158.
Workshop instructor Jenny Gladney has been a Pennington Dance ballet instructor for nine years.
She began her training at Ballet Technique with Julie Caprio and also studied at Steps in New York City, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Princeton Ballet School’s Professional Training Program.
Gladney performed professionally as a member of the American Repertory Ballet Ensemble, and is currently a guest artist with the Rider Dance Ensemble. She has degrees in dance from Mercer County Community College and Rider University.
Pennington Dance is in its 34th year of inspiring dancers. The school offers full-year programs in ballet and pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, preschool dance and pilates.
The school offers a variety of performance experiences including the Pennington Business and Professional Association’s Holiday Walk in December,Pennington Day in May and Trenton Thunder pre-game show in June.
