On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, the Hopewell Harvest Fair held its annual Grant Ceremony to honor the twenty-two local nonprofit organizations who received grants from the 2015 Harvest Fair. Representatives from the organizations joined members of the Board of Trustees for an evening of thanks, camaraderie and celebration, hosted by Music Together, just outside of Hopewell Borough.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and those who attended the Hopewell Harvest Fair, $4,000 was awarded. The money goes to support operating costs and/or special projects of many local nonprofits.
All 2015 Hopewell Harvest Fair Grant recipients are as follows: Down Syndrome Assoc of Central NJ, HomeFront, Hopewell Public Library, Hopewell Valley Chorus, Hopewell Valley Girl Scouts 70175, Hopewell Valley Lions Club, Hopewell Valley Senior Services, Hopewell Valley Youth Chorale, HVCHS Robotics Club, HVCHS scholarships, Infinity Robotics, Let Me Run (Hopewell), Mercer Street Friends Food Bank, OSIP Foundation, Sunshine Foundation, Voices, Womanspace, Inc. PTOs from the following district schools: Hopewell Elementary, Tollgate Grammar School , Stonybrook Elementary, Timberlane Middle School, and the Special Education.
The 30th annual Hopewell Harvest Fair is set to take place on Saturday, September 24, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the grounds of the Hopewell Elementary School on Princeton Avenue. The Planning Committee is now beginning to organize, and there are many open positions, large and small. Those interested in volunteering should email volunteer@hopewellharvestfair.org.
