Theatre to Go is set to present a Roebling: The Story of the Brooklyn Bridge, a play by Hamilton playwright Mark Violi about the Roebling family.
The play is about Trenton resident John Roebling and his family and their roles in the construction, engineering and architecture of the Brooklyn Bridge.
The play shows how this project foreshadowed the 20th century and recognizes the vital role that a woman, Emily Roebling, played in the implementation of the project.
The presentation includes an original score by Frank Grullon and is presented in cooperation with the New Jersey State Museum as part of its yearlong celebration of New Jersey’s 350th anniversary.
Performances are scheduled for May 16 at 8 p.m. and May 17, 19, 24 and 25 at 1:30 p.m. in the museum’s Theater Building located at 206 West State Street, Trenton.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for children and seniors and include admission to the museum.
