PEACturf recently welcomed Scott Brunner, former New York Giants quarterback, to its Ewing facilities, as preliminary plans are developing for him to provide coaching and mentoring programs at PEACturf starting in February. A Lawrenceville High School graduate, Brunner is familiar with the surrounding communities and regional football programs, and feels PEACturf’s location offers easy access to central New Jersey as well as Bucks County.
In addition to his high school, University of Delaware and NFL accomplishments, Brunner demonstates his passion for football by coaching and mentoring young football players.
“Although my NFL career is rewarding, I enjoy the rewards of sharing my football experiences with the next generation of players,” said Brunner. At his alma mater, University of Delaware, Brunner had the opportunity to tutor Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens.
PEACturf is scheduled to open in mid-January and plans to start its Winter Programs immediately following an Open House Week. The Open House Week will allow participants to experience the facility, programs, events, activities and parties at no charge and without an obligation.
PEACturf is designed to offer programming for all levels of youth sports with activities focusing on skill development, positive encouragement and fun. On-field leadership and coaching are provided by area players and school coaches who have a passion for sports and working with youth players. In addition to programs, PEACturf plans to incorporate open field nights, walk-in introductory sport clinics, sport specific clinics, field rentals and parties.
