The Nature Center at Washington Crossing State Park is set to offer several activities, including a nightime hike, in August.
Night Hike is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Aug. 9. Participants are set to explore the park for nature at night on this naturalist-guided hike and campfire. Hikers should bring a flashlight. The hike is designed for hikers age six and older.
Hikers should enter the park from the Bear Tavern Road entrance and follow signs to the Nature Center.

Recreational kayaking for pre-teens to adult is scheduled for 1:30 to 3 p.m. Aug. 17. Participants will have the opportunity to paddle a sit-on-top kayak on the park’s pond. In addition to getting in the water, participants will get advice about selecting a recreational kayak that matches their paddling needs.
Kayakers should wear old sneakers or water shoes and prepare to get wet. Kayaks, paddles and adult life jackets will be provided. Participants are set to meet at the Brick Road parking lot.

Weird Washington Crossing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 24. In this event for pre-teens to adults, participants will experience Washington Crossing State Park beyond the Revolutionary War by hiking to some unusual and bizarre nature of the park.

Solar Observation for all ages is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 30. Gene Ramsey and Jennifer and Dave Skitt of Amateur Astronomers Association of Princeton are set lead the activity.
Participants are set to view naturalistic activity on the sun safely through a telescope equipped with a special filter. The guides plan to point out sunspots, solar flares, prominences, and other solar phenomena
Clear skies required. Rain date is set for 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 31.
Washington Crossing State Park is located at 355 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, Titusville. A fee of $5.00 per car will be charged to all motor vehicles entering the park for daytime programs on weekends and holidays through Sept. 1.
