Ewing Green Team plans to continue its community visioning sessions at monthly meetings
The sessions began June 7 when a group of residents met to have a conversation about a sustainable future for Ewing Township entitled A Community Conversation: Preserving Our Past Transforming Our Future.
A number of key areas were identified by participants as being of primary interest during this first conversation. These areas included community engagement, waste and recycling, conservation and preservation, development and transportation, local economy and community branding.
The Ewing Green Team plans to continue these conversations at the August and September monthly meetings.
Community members are set to discuss development and transportation, as well as conservation and preservation, at the Aug. 27 meeting. Community branding and local economy is the focus for Sept. 24.
Both meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Ewing Senior and Community Center, 999 Lower Ferry Road, Ewing.
At the meetings, the team hopes to formulate practical actions that will advance the goals that attendees helped articulate.
Conversation facilitators Lori Braunstein and Natalie Barney of Maga Consulting are set to return in October to help the Green Team and interested residents develop a feasible set of action plans based on what is generated during these meetings.
