Camp Openings
Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro offers kids a free weeklong day camp experience. The camp, for children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade, will be held Monday to Friday, July 29 to August 2, from 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The theme “Turn It Up” combines biblical teaching with interactive activities through daily bible lessons, music time, recreation, snack time, and stage performances. Mercer County Community College has openings in several summer camp programs, including Camp College, Sports Camps, and Tomato Patch Visual and Performing Arts Workshops. Auditions
Maurer Productions has auditions for “Spamalot” on Saturday, July 13, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, July 14, noon to 5 p.m., at Mercer Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. All roles are open to actors, singers, and dancers ages 18 years and older. The show will include 16 to 20 actors to play more than 40 roles.

West Windsor Library will be holding open auditions for its annual Halloween Playfest on Saturdays, July 27 and August 3, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Wednesdays, July 31 and August 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Performances are Friday to Sunday, October 18 to 20, featuring three short Halloween plays for actors ages 12 to 17 with some adult roles; and performances on Friday to Sunday, October 25 to 27, featuring “The Revenants,” a full-length play for actors age nine to adult. Auditions will consist of readings from the scripts. Scripts are available at the library reference desk or can be sent by E-mail. Auditions will take place at the West Windsor Branch, 333 North Post Road, Princeton Junction. Rehearsals will begin in early September. Sharim V’Sharot: People of Song, a 24-voice Jewish choir, is seeking new members for the upcoming season. The largely a cappella choir has openings for all voices. Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra is holding open auditions on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 6 and 7, and Wednesday, September 11. GPYO’s ensembles include Prep Strings & Orchestra for younger and developing players, Concert Orchestra for intermediate and advancing players, and Symphonic Orchestra for advanced high school musicians. Princeton House Behavioral Health offers an emotional eating outpatient program for women who cope with their emotions by overeating or under eating. The new offering is at 1000 Herrontown Road, Princeton.
