Kate Zanzucchi and Alex Larson will be married on July 27 at Lighthouse Point, New Haven, Connecticut.
Zanzucchi, a 1993 graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Drew University in 1997 and a master’s degree from the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University in 1999. She is a senior production editor of art books and managing editor of special projects at Yale University Press. She is the daughter of Peter and Susan Zanzucchi of West Windsor.
Larson earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University and his teaching certificate from SCSU in special education. He is the son of Lorinda Larson of Sandy Hook, Connecticut, and Thomas Larson of Fairfield.
The ceremony will be officiated by Rex Krueger. The bride will be given in marriage by her father. Anne Zanzucchi of Merced, California, will serve as maid of honor. Bridesmaids will be Sarah Henry of Branford, Connecticut, Heather Hughes of Schenectady, New York, and Susan Koger of Philadelphia.
The best man will be David Larson of New Britain, Connecticut. Groomsmen will be Brian LaRue of Brooklyn, Matthew Lavallee of Sommerville, Massachusetts, and Anthony Zolnik of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The couple lives in Branford, Connecticut.
Melissa Leshchanka and Joseph John Pinto III are planning a May, 2013, wedding.
Leshchanka, a 1999 graduate of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, received her associate’s degree in music science from Mercer Community College and a bachelor of arts and teaching certification from Rider University in 2006. Her major was elementary education and theater arts. She is a preschool teacher for Princeton Meadow Preschool and Childtime in Hillsborough. She also teaches at Playhouse 22’s acting academy. She is the daughter of Tina Lee of Somerset and George Leshchanka of Edison.
Pinto received a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts management from the Culinary Institute of America. A chef, he is a manager at Houlihans. He is the son of Joesph and Laura Pinto Jr. of Piscataway.
The couple first met at her sixth birthday party because Pinto was in her twin brother Steven’s kindergarten class. “We kept in touch through the years, we dated in high school, and I went to his junior prom,” says LeShchanka. They still kept in touch when he went to college in New York and she remained in New Jersey. “It wasn’t until a random meeting at Brick House Tavern that we saw each other and we’ve been together ever since,” says the bride-to-be.

Amrita Sawhney, a June graduate of High School North, will be a student at Washington University in St. Louis this fall.
