Richard W. Lyon, 84, of New Brunswick died July 3. He joined the U.S. Merchant Marine at 16 years old and then served in the Army. He retired as a sergeant with the New Brunswick Police Department. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Donna Marie of West Windsor.
Simone Hennecy Gettmann, 84, of West Windsor died July 4. Born was raised in Paris, he lived in Paramus from 1954 to 2000.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Karen Gettmann and Louis Marchetta of West Windsor; and son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Frederica Gettmann of Ellicott City, Maryland; and five grandchildren.

Leone E. Tindall, 93, of West Windsor died July 12. Born in Edinburg, she lived in West Windsor for most of her life. She farmed until retiring in 1983. Tindall was a former deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, and was a member of the Hamilton Grange, the Mother of Twins Club of Mercer County, and the NJ Farm Bureau.

Paul Pilecki, 86, of North Wales, PA, died July 12. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Survivors include a sister, Constance Coscia of Princeton Junction.
Gladys R. Holt, 68, of Eatontown died July 13. She was a former Plainsboro resident. Survivors include her children, Sandra, Frank, and Kenneth Holt; and two grandchildren, William and Megan Wenger.
Melvin Bowers, 73, of Plainsboro died July 13 at the University Medical Center at Plainsboro. Born in the Bronx, New York, he was a computer programmer at Cybernetics Programming and Systems Inc. in Hillsdale.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Baldauf Bowers; and sons, Christopher, Daniel and Richard Bowers; two brothers, Arthur and Roy Bowers; grandchildren Tyler, Lindsay, Chad, Brooke, Brittany, and Dalton; and great-grandchildren, Isabella and Lukas. Walter W. Zapsky, 76, of West Windsor died July 15 at home. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he served in the Marine Corps for six years. He lived in West Windsor resident for 45 years, and worked for Johnson & Johnson.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Holly Zapsky of Carmel, Massachusetts; his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Allan Slater of Coconut Creek, Florida; seven grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters, Carol and Bob Connolly, Richard Zapsky, William and Jane Zapsky, Lyon Zapsky, and Mary Sharon and Bill Dorney.
