High School South senior Liz Huttner signed a letter of intent to play softball at Lafayette College next year.

High School South boys’ lacrosse players Eric Valero and Dave Twamley were named to the 2009 Group III All-CVC First Team. Brandon Worrall of North was also named to First Team. North’s Todd Petrone and South’s Henry MacQueen were named to the Second Team, and North’s A.J. Reichert received honorable mention.

High School North graduate Jen Hu, and South graduates Laura Kuhlman, and Rachel Sartor — members of the Mercer Junior Rowing Club — won the silver medal, along with two other teammates, in the women’s four with coxswain final at the USRowing Youth National Championships on June 14.

The West Windsor-Plainsboro Soccer Association has partnered with Zizo Soccer Programs to host a summer soccer camp at Zaitz Fields from Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14. Full or half-day camps are available.

The full day camps are held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and will cost $230. The full day also comes with a lunch option served from Cafe Capuano, for a total camp price of $265. For younger campers, ages 4 to 6, a half-day camp is offered for $190. The half-day camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon — except on Fridays, when it will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — and does not include a lunch option. All campers receive a free ball and T-shirt.

Travel coaches can register their teams for the camp, and can also call about Team Week Training, which will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. from Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14. The team camp aims to prepare teams for the fall season. A team must consist of a minimum of 10 players with a maximum of 17 players.
