James Ardel Polk, 39, of Newark died early November. He graduated from West Windsor-Plainsboro High School, Class of 1995. During high school he played baritone in the WW-P Pirates Marching Band.##M:[more]##

Survivors include his companion of 13 years, Melinda Denise; and their children, Antoinette Danesha and Zahmir Malachi Polk; and his parents, Nora and Job S. Polk.

Jean B. Brown, 83, a former West Windsor resident, died in early November in San Antonio, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Melville C. Brown; three daughters, Catherine B. Crescioni of Champlin, Minnesota, Victoria J. Fields and Valerie J. Brown, both of San Antonio, Texas; one grandchild, Francisco A. Crescioni; and five step-grandchildren, Raymond Fields, Katherine Fields Keeney, David Fields, Eric Fields, and Tanya Fields.

Mary Ella Marco, 91 of Mercerville died November 13 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Survivors include grandchildren, Christine and Dominick Eboli of West Windsor. Donations may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills 08015.

Edith M. Appelget, 95, of Monroe Village died November 14 at the Elms of Cranbury. Born in Englishtown, she moved to the family farm in Dutch Neck in 1920 where she was caregiver for her parents for many years. She moved to Cranbury in 1960 and to Monroe Village in 2005. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, where she taught Sunday school.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Cornelia S. Appelget; six nieces and nephews and their spouses, Marvin L. Applegate, Carl L. Applegate, Charles W. Appelget, Kenneth E. Wilson, Ruth Nieckoski, and June Merritt; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and 15 great-great-n ieces and nephews.

Thomas Cahill, 42, of West Windsor died November 28 in an accident on Edinburg Road in Hamilton. Born in Somerville, he was raised in Raritan before moving to West Windsor, died Wednesday. Cahill was a lineman with PSE&G.

Survivors include his mother, Bernadette Cahill of Raritan; his father, William Cahill of Delaware; a brother, William G. Cahill of Florida; paternal grandmother Carolyn Thompson; maternal grandparents, Helen and Bernard Kopycinski; aunts and uncles, Charlene and Richard Schieferstein, Stanley Kulkaski, and George and Molly Cahill.

Refoel Simcha Leverton of London, England died November 30. Survivors include a son, Rabbi Sholom Leverton of West Windsor.

Robert E. Kemp, 66, of Plainsboro died December 3 in the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Trenton, he lived in Plainsboro all his life.

A graduate of Princeton High School, Class of 1960, he graduated from Teterboro Aeronautics. The owner of Grovers Mill Company, a lawn and power equipment company in West Windsor, he was a former member of the Plainsboro Fire Company.

Survivors include his wife Judy A. Kemp; a son, Robert E. Kemp II of West Windsor and his children, Evamarie and Megan Elizabeth Kemp; a daughter and son-in-law, Robbin Lynn and Mark Edward Dean of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and their son Austin Edward Kemp.

Also a stepbrother and his wife, Robert and Martha Watlington of Plainsboro; a stepsister and her husband, Patricia and Bill Adams of Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law, Patricia A. Higgins of Hamilton Square; and a cousin, Donna Prickett of Plainsboro.

Clara Trachtenberg, 79, of Ewing died December 4 at the Capital Health System at Fuld. Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Max and Phoebe Herman of West Windsor.

Helen L. Callahan, 85, died on December 5, at the Berkeley Heights Nursing Center in Berkeley Heights. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Renee Callahan, of West Windsor.

Phyllis A. Paolino, 59, died December 5, at home in Manalapan. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Stephen Ditaranto of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering.

Joseph William McMahan, 79, of Greer, South Carolina, formerly of West Windsor, died December 5 at St. Francis Hospital. Survivors include his wife Carolyn Thompson McMahan; children, Kendrick McMahan and wife Marcia of Wernersville, PA, and Patricia Martins and husband Tony of Easley, South Carolina; three step-sons, Todd and wife Tammy, Eric and wife Catherine, and Greg Thompson, all of Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

Also six grandchildren, Mackenzie and Morgan McMahan of Wernersville, Kenneth, Charles, Bryson, Avery and O’Keefe Thompson all of Travelers Rest,; a brother, Louis McMahan; two sisters, Mary Roselle and Vera Miller; and one great-grandchild, Daniel Martins.

Sallie Rudd Matthews, 98, died December 6 at her home in Woodstock, Virgina. Survivors include son and daugther-in-law, Ernest Valentine Jr. and Martha Matthews of West Windsor.

Nancy Lucretia Martin, 84, of Martin, Colorado died. Survivors include stepdaughter Joy Tai Shin of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel Corps at www.TheSalArmy.org.

Constance Marie Daniell, 90, died December 7 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Survivors include a son Robert Christopher Daniell of Plainsboro.
