Mary Sue Wilson, 83, of Lawrenceville died September 29 at her home. She served in the Mercer County Library System as manager of branches at Hopewell, Hickory Corner, and West Windsor, until she retired in 1991. Herbert H. Brooker, 69, of Ewing died October 4 at his residence. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly A. and Carlos H. Villanueva of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to VNA of Mercer County, Hospice Program, Development Department, Box 441, Trenton 08603.

Hardy Kurt Pedersen Sr., 78, of Hopewell died October 4 at his home. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1930 his family settled in Plainsboro on a farm that serviced Walker Gordon for many years. Hardy attended schools in Plainsboro, graduated from Princeton High School, then served as a U.S. Marine. He moved to Hopewell Township in 1956 and founded Hardy Nurseries, a landscape design and nursery business which he has continued to operate with his son, H. Kurt Pedersen Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sophia Benson Pedersen; a daughter Elizabeth Parry of Pennington; two sons and their wives, H. Kurt and Colleen of Pennington, Mark and Cheryl of Ewing; seven grandchildren; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Arne and Lil Pederson and John Pederson.

A service celebrating his life will be held Sunday, October 22, at 4 p.m., at the Calvary Baptist Church, 3 East Broad Street, Hopewell. Donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Jean C. Bonnici, 71, of West Windsor died October 5 in St. Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in the Bronx, New York, she was a longtime area resident, A parishioner of St. David the King Church, Bonnici was a member of the Italian-American Club of Village Grande and a member of the Bronx Club.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, John P. Bonnici of Asbury Park; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Andre Ouellet of East Brunswick, Suzanne and Joseph Celentano of Mahwah, and Janet and Christopher Baile of Helmetta; two brothers, James McInerney of South Amboy, Thomas McInerney of Hershey, Pennsylvania; and six grandchildren.

Viola M. Farkas, 90, of Trenton died October 5 in Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton. Survivors include son a daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Theresa Farkas of West Windsor.

LeRoy Richard Hamilton of Hightstown died October 6 at his home. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Bill Feehan of West Windsor; and grandchildren, Siobhan, Kelsey, and William of West Windsor.

Therese E. Black, 80, of Lawrenceville died October 11 at University Medical Center at Princeton. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Sandra Black Duffy of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville 08648.

Virginia Manni Luther, 95, of Robbinsville died October 11 at her residence. Born in Frosinone, Italy, she came to the U.S. with her family, at the age of two, and settled in Monmouth Junction. Over the course of her life, she lived in Plainsboro and West Windsor, before moving to Robbinsville to live with her daughter in 1999.

Survivors include four daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy J. Luther, Linda L. Warren, Virginia L. Luther, and Joanne M. and Richard Roberts; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph A. III and Linda Luther; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and special family friend, William D. Parker.

Anne F. Beck, 85, of West Windsor died October 14 in Hamilton Continuing Care Center. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she moved to New Jersey several years ago.

Survivors include her husband William P. Beck; a daughter, Barbara A. Peterson; and a granddaughter, Cara A. Peterson, all of West Windsor. Donations may be made to Faculty and Friends Campaign, NYU Medical Center, Office of Development, 550 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016.

Laura Joan Elbeck, 89, of Princeton died October 15 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Bayonne, she was a former Plainsboro resident. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia F. and Daniel P. Diskin of Plainsboro, and Joyce E. and David M. Collins of Kinnelon; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mary F. Rizzo Kahny, 78, of Princeton died October 17. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Mark Brzezynski of West Windsor; and five grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday, October 21, at 8:30 a.m., at Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Church, 214 Nassau Street, Princeton. Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, October 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
