Two workshops — for little cupids and big ones too — will jumpstart your creativity this Valentine’s Day. Blue Tulip in Nassau Park hosts a kids Valentine’s Day workshop, “Message in a Book,” Sunday, February 8, 1 to 2 p.m. Kids will learn to create a Valentine book made with envelopes and personalize their valentines with messages and mementos tucked into the pages of their book. Children may bring a photo of themselves, and the Blue Tulip staff will help them create a lasting memory. Sunday, February 8, 1 to 2 p.m. Register, $5.
“Card Making Made Simple: Valentines for the Creative Soul,” where you can show you care with a handmade Valentine. The workshop covers basic card design, choosing the right paper and embellishments, vellum overlays, and basic stamping and embossing techniques. Yvonne Barbosa instructs.
