Thank you for helping Princeton United Methodist Church (PUMC) publicize its outreach programs, which include sending teens and adults on Appalachia Service Project (ASP) mission trips. After reading about our ASP trips in the October 22 edition of the WW-P News, two Plainsboro residentstook the first steps to sign up and join our volunteer teams.
The PUMC youth program welcomes all teens of all backgrounds, church members and non-church members alike, to participate in youth programming activities, especially the life-changing experience of the ASP. The eight-month preparation includes fundraisers, learning Appalachian culture and the poverty many face, construction skills, and the meaning of service. Last year we sent six seven-person teams to spend a week repairing homes in Appalachia, and thanks to the enthusiastic response we plan to add a seventh team.
The church also welcomes adults who wish to volunteer once a month in an affordable housing project in Trenton collaborating with Isles to renovate homes. For more information about either program, visit www.princetonumc.org or call 609-924-2613.

On behalf of Eden Autism Services, I want to thank our community for supporting Eden by Moonlight, Club Casablanca, on October 9 at Greenacres Country Club in Lawrenceville. The event helped raise awareness and needed funds for Eden and the children and adults with autism Eden serves.
The public funding we receive does not cover the cost of the array of services Eden provides. To ensure the continued excellence and sustainability of those services, we rely on events such as Eden by Moonlight and our Eden family to make up this shortfall.
We are deeply grateful to our Steering Committee, led by co-chairs Cathy McCool and Jason Bundick; our sponsors and patrons; our volunteers; the Greenacres staff for their excellent service; and everyone who helped to bring our event to life. Special thanks to the individuals and businesses who helped keep costs down by generously donating silent auction prizes or other goods and services.
Please know how much we appreciate the individual donations from those who attended and supported Eden by Moonlight, Club Casablanca. Their generosity makes it possible for Eden to realize its dream of individuals with autism learning, growing, working, and leading productive lives.
