1. The excuses and spins from Mercer County are endless! The entire county is run like a tax-exempt toy store. What Mercer County official wouldn’t have to “officially” attend these concerts for free? “Gotta go check on the concert to see if everything is okay.”
2. The bigger question here is where is the public accounting of what Mercer taxpayers have spent ($$$$$$$) on these endless amenities?
3. As in, what are the unbundled, audited figures for everything from the Airport Parking to concerts to golf course operations? These County operations are something out of the Dark Ages. Wouldn’t we all want to work for this fantasy playground?
4. Was concert business promotion put in a referendum to County taxpayers?
5. From the overpriced County Courthouse (demanded by retired judge Feinberg) to the plethora of tax-exempt golf courses to the ocean of solar panels and sanctuary for friends and family hires on the payroll … there seems to be no end to the enterprises undertaken with public money. The roads and their maintenance are an abomination.
6. What about the financials for the renovated Mercer Lake clubhouse, Waterfront Park, hockey rink, recycling operations, County libraries, County Open Space tax slush fund, and County arena?
7. I suppose few would care that the County’s budget surplus this year was utilized/captured/spent by Herr Hughes for his and the County freeloaders … for a zero tax increase during his re-election effort in November. (The checking account is empty so you are going to get hammered in the pocket book next year.)
Show us the numbers. Ah, never mind. That was a previous generation that cared about containing taxes.
