I sometimes wonder if the Township Administration is ever capable of doing anything right. I see no dire need for resurfacing Clarksville Road, yet drive half a mile on Penn Lyle from Clarksville Road and the street is crumbling for another half mile.
Three years ago all the streets of the original “Princeton Ivy Estates” were resurfaced, leaving the Hathaway and Van Wyck connecting streets undone (1,000 feet length). My driveway entrance is on Birdsall Way. I appeared before Council (two years ago) and made numerous calls to the Engineer, and it fell on deaf ears. The two roads are 40 years old and in dire need of resurfacing. It’s never going to be done.
Last month I wrote a letter to Diane Ciccone, president of the Council, to enlighten her on the past and current rape by developers. I did not expect a reply but at least an acknowledgement. I was shocked when I saw the townhouses under construction on Clarksville Road [Windsor Gardens, where 342 apartments are being built]. I would like to know what the tax implication will be.
WW is currently on a trajectory to transform the area around the RR station into a commuter hub of the stature of New Brunswick and Newark. I don’t believe that this is in the best interest of WW residents.
