Thank you, WW-P News, for providing coverage of the important April 16 council vote. Many of my fellow residents came to the meeting to share their views on the budget debate, the only opportunity we have to try and influence our local property tax rate.
The outcome was disappointing but it was not unexpected. Rather, it’s an indication of what we should expect from our council — three puppets (Khanna, Borek, and Samonte) and two valiant representatives trying to fight for what the community really needs.
The closing paragraphs of your article add a bit of levity to an otherwise serious topic. Those paragraphs highlight Mayor Hsueh’s electoral paranoia.
I would like to set the record straight on his assertions. The West Windsor Republican organization is alive and active, and we meet regularly to discuss community issues. However, we do not talk about the mayor. While we would prefer to see someone more competent in his position, we are more interested in discussing pressing matters that can impact the community today, not tomorrow.
Nonetheless, I will offer a bit of helpful advice to Hsueh. Please spend more of your time worrying about the effectiveness and efficiency of the cost of services that impact the community. Please find ways to either reduce our tax burden or to deliver improved services for the same level of outlay.
