The arts inspire and change lives. The arts bring people and communities together. Art education brings positive benefits, such as increased confidence and motivation and improved academic performance. Educators turn to the arts to develop motor skills and critical problem skills.
With all these benefits, we are truly fortunate to have an arts center in our community. Over the past three years the West Windsor Arts Council has served as a source of creativity and a community gathering place. Our programs include classes, camps, exhibits, films, poetry events, performances, and free community programs including Summer Music Series and Autumn Arts Afternoon.
One of our strategic plan goals calls for us to strengthen our organizational structure and financial means. Part of this means we need to expand our base of supporters and volunteers. As a small, volunteer-led nonprofit organization, the arts council relies on the generosity of the community to keep our doors open and programs running.
The arts center has an amazing opportunity that expires June 30. An anonymous donor has agreed to match annual fund donations up to $10,000! We ask you to help us make the most of this extraordinary matching gift opportunity and donate today. You can visit our website at westwindsorarts.org or call 609-716-1931. Our staff will be thrilled to hear from you.
We are also looking for a few leaders to help build our organizational capacity. If you are interested in learning more, please E-mail info@westwindsorarts.org. I am thrilled to have been a part of this organization for more than eight years. I hope others will join me in supporting it through donations, and I hope to see you and your family at the arts center soon!
