Sujit Singh, Ajay Tomar and Andrew Winters are running under the “West Windsor Together” banner in the township’s Nov. 4 nonpartisan election for mayor and two Township Council seats.

Singh is seeking the mayor’s office, while Tomar and Winters are running for council.

In a news release, their joint campaign emphasizes transparency, smart growth and inclusive community planning.

“This is a pivotal moment for our township,” Singh said. “We need leaders who think boldly, listen deeply, and plan wisely — for today and for the future.”

Singh, a resident of West Windsor since 2011, brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in technology, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit service.

His platform centers on using data-driven strategies and community engagement to deliver solutions for township residents.

“Leadership starts with listening,” Singh said. “I’m running to bring fresh energy, data-driven decisions, and a deep sense of responsibility. Together, we’d build a West Windsor that works for everyone — not just today, but for the future.”

Singh holds a degree in electronic engineering and a certificate in entrepreneurship development from MIT Sloan. He has served on the boards of organizations such as Beacon Specialized Living and is recognized for championing equity and mental health.

Tomar, who has lived in West Windsor since 2007, is a technology executive with three decades of experience in financial management, operational strategy and growth planning.

He said his goal is to help the township grow responsibly and improve public safety.

“Our township needs problem solvers with real-world experience,” Tomar said. “I want to help West Windsor grow responsibly, become safer, so it is a place where families and small businesses thrive.”

Tomar holds an MBA in technology management from NJIT and a certificate in artificial intelligence for business strategy from MIT. He serves on the board of Shiksha Prayas, a nonprofit that supports underserved students in India.

Winters, a corporate strategist, moved to West Windsor so his children could attend the district’s DLI Mandarin Program. He said he wants to preserve the character of the township while preparing for the future.

“Good governance means being proactive, not reactive,” Winters said. “I’m running to ensure West Windsor becomes safer and balanced: a place where all families can build a future, where seniors feel supported, and new generations want to come, stay, and grow.”

Winters holds a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Duke University.

The three candidates say they represent a new generation of leadership for West Windsor — one that reflects the township’s diversity and is focused on civic engagement, collaboration and sustainable planning.

“Our campaign amplifies the voices of residents seeking a government that listens, collaborates, builds partnerships, plans sustainably, and puts West Windsor first,” they said in their joint statement.
