Leave it to our imperial school powers that be to completely ignore the request by the New Jersey state government to pass all or even some aid to the property tax payers of West Windsor-Plainsboro. With their $20 million surplus, they still cannot connect the dots to the need for property tax relief and reform in our town. A year ago they sacrificed the custodians to keep the highly paid people in the education system safe and well paid. It amazes me that it is possible to squirrel away $20 million in over-blown education budgets over a period of years.
The fact that there is no law to prevent this from taking place is another indication of the culture of corruption in New Jersey and West Windsor-Plainsboro. Somehow the people who make these decisions see this money as their entitlement, not the taxpayers’ money. I am truly looking forward to the day when someone with common business sense comes into the West Windsor-Plainsboro educational system and starts laying off the non-essential people, helping those less effective personnel get out or retire already, and find some superintendents who don’t need “rock star” contracts. In closing, WW-P School System: Keep it up with your lack of any connection to reality beyond the school walls. Your day will come because people like me are getting fed up with your underhanded practices.
