“On a Quest” is a biopic about the life of Swami Chinmayananda. He was considered a great visionary, bringing the teachings of Hindu scriptures down from the Himalayas to the common man. As 2015 marks the year for his birth centenary, this movie is an initiative to portray his unconventional life journey. From a mischievous child, a rebellious youth, a revolutionary freedom fighter, a witty journalist, and even a daring atheist, this movie captures his transition into an enlightened master.
A theater owner in New York City has refused to screen the movie, since he was not sure about the perception it would create. He then agreed to make a decision only after watching the movie himself. He was given a special copy of the movie to view. After seeing the movie, he came out totally impressed, and not only agreed to multiple screenings but also committed to give free advertisements for the movie. This really shows the impact the movie has on people.
I strongly recommend all of my friends and contacts watch this movie.
The movie is scheduled for screening at AMC Hamilton on Saturdays, April 18 and 25, and Sunday, April 26. Please refer to www.onaquestmovie-cmw.com.
