This is in reference to the letter that Louisa Ho and Scott Powell wrote together on September 29, 2016 titled “Mehno got it Wrong”
Mr. Powell and Ms. Ho, how can I say this without sounding condescending… you are the WRONG choice for WW-P, because I got it right! The ones who got it wrong are you.
The interesting thing about having the BOE meeting videotaped is that we can go back and watch it over and over again, and we can see who is right. The sad thing is that even in my letter, I stated that a parent had given her testimony in public comments saying that Martin Smith had said that “teachers” had supported the idea to give Chromebooks to 2nd graders.
This parent asks Martin Smith to provide evidence of such statement, which of course, still three weeks after the meeting, Martin Smith who is the responsible of making such a statement is MIA. The public comment starts at minute 19, 25 seconds, she is the fourth person speaking in public comments.
Mr. Smith, can you please provide evidence of the statement that you mentioned in that seminar? The community would like to know which teachers, and where is the evidence that these teachers support the idea of being a good idea to give Chromebooks to 2nd graders as you have stated.
Ms. Ho and Mr. Powell, you need to listen to the community. Both of you are running for re-election and you have a long road ahead of you, if already you are proving not to listen to public comments, you are already proving not to listen to the tape of the BOE recorded on 9/13, basically you are acting as two attack dogs. You are attacking a parent, a taxpayer, a member of the community instead of asking Mr. Smith for evidence of what he stated.
Your actions speak louder than words, you are not interested in “constructive feedback” to “improve our schools” and that the “feedback is productive.” If that was the case, you would have done your due diligence and watched the video.
You are the wrong choice to continue at the BOE, you just want to keep the community in the dark and keep on rubber stamping the administration. You do not want a member of the community like me that makes you “ask and question and challenge” Aderhold and Fleres… you rather attack me.
The proof is in the video tape of the BOE meeting of 9/13. Both of you are the wrong choice for WW-P. Both of you are just rubber stampers of the administration. Too sad!!
