Lupo: Charles, Marathe, Geevers Lead With Integrity

I was proud to work side-by-side with Joe Charles during the last election to preserve our township’s nonpartisan form of government. Together, we helped secure a decisive 66% victory for residents who value fairness and equal opportunity in our elections. Joe’s role in that campaign was critical. He rolled up his sleeves, built consensus, and spoke with clarity about why keeping our elections nonpartisan was essential to maintaining West Windsor’s unique spirit. He showed then that he is not afraid to stand up for what is right and bring people together for the greater good.

Now, as a candidate for Council, Joe brings that same independent perspective and dedication to service. I have no doubt he will be an effective and thoughtful addition to the governing body. He will join Mayor Hemant Marathe, who has led with both vision and humility. Hemant’s steady leadership has ensured that West Windsor continues to grow responsibly while keeping the best interests of residents at the forefront of every decision. Alongside them is Councilwoman Linda Geevers, whose long record of service is a testament to her deep care for our community. Linda is approachable, responsive, and consistently puts the needs of residents first.

Together, Joe, Hemant, and Linda offer West Windsor a balanced team: new energy, proven experience, and unwavering integrity. They are committed to keeping our township strong, inclusive, and well-prepared for the future. These are the qualities that define Proven Leaders for West Windsor—and I am proud to support them.

Andy Lupo, West Windsor

Ex-Mayor Murray Backs Marathe, Geevers, Charles

As a former member of the township government of West Windsor including two terms as Mayor, I am endorsing and support Hemant Marathe for Mayor of West Windsor Township. He has a proven track record of substantial success in leading the government of West Windsor during his term as Mayor and has many very successful accomplishments that are now history and plans for many more, such as

1. Stabilized tax base

2. Public Safety

3. Township growth stabilization

4. Environmental plans

5. Community space planning

These have been demonstrated and documented in his many accomplishments in support of the government of West Windsor.

I ask that you support Hemant and his leadership team in this election. I ask that you also support Councilwoman Linda Geevers for re-election for her commendable work and dedication to our community. As CPA Joe Charles brings a valuable experience to the Council. Joe has proved his commitment to West Windsor community over the past several years.

Bob Murray, Former Mayor of West Windsor

Charles, Marathe, Geevers Keep WW Strong

I proudly endorse my friend and neighbor Joe Charles for West Windsor Town Council, alongside the proven leadership of Mayor Marathe and Councilwoman Geevers. Together, they represent the skilled and principled leadership that has kept, and will keep, West Windsor strong and independent.

Since 1997, I’ve lived in West Windsor, raised two children in WW-P schools, coached local sports, and served on my homeowner’s board. I’ve come to know Joe and his wife Deb since they moved in across the street, watching them raise their young children and immerse themselves in our schools, sports, and community life. They bring a verve and enthusiasm that reflects the best of West Windsor, from organizing school events, to hosting backyard barbecues and card tournaments, all with a spirit of involvement and neighborliness.

Importantly for me, Joe showed his ability to lead when it mattered most. He stepped up to mobilize residents against the jarring resolution to make our township partisan, helping to deliver a resounding 2-to-1 victory to preserve West Windsor’s independence. That win reaffirmed that our governance remains accountable to West Windsor residents, not outside interests and their divisive agendas.

Joe’s commitment to local autonomy, paired with Hemant Marathe’s and Linda Geevers’ experienced and approachable leadership, is exactly what our town needs to meet today’s challenges and plan wisely for the future. I encourage West Windsor residents to vote for Joe Charles, Mayor Hemant Marathe, and Councilwoman Linda Geevers this November.

Chris Lemmond, West Windsor

Geevers’ Tenacity Benefits All Residents

I wholeheartedly encourage you to join me in voting to re-elect Linda Geevers to West Windsor Township Council. I believe that her tenacity, inclusiveness and tremendous passion for making West Windsor the best place for all of us to live is unequaled!

For most of the 20 years since she was initially elected, I had many opportunities to work with Councilwoman Linda Geevers and benefit from her knowledge and tireless work on behalf of all of us, regardless where we live in West Windsor. During my tenure as President of my homeowners association, I reached out to Linda often for clarification and a clear way of thinking concerning some challenging issues our association was facing and a thorough way to investigate potential solutions. I had opportunities to watch Linda lead the Council as its President, Vice President and liaison to many appointments, including during my term on the West Windsor Planning Board. She took a keen lead regarding the budget responsibility and I appreciate her focus on no municipal tax increases.

I appreciate the opportunities we had to be involved in early discussions regarding the development of a town center area around the Princeton Junction train station. Although that project went on the back burner for many years I am pleased that Councilwoman Geevers continues to be involved and we benefit from her attention to residential growth.

Recently, I had opportunities to chat with Councilwoman Geevers regarding preserving West Windsor’s non-partisan elections. I remember when I moved to West Windsor I was impressed with the non-partisan climate of elections and preserving that for our elections was important to me, too, in last year’s political cycle. I particularly appreciate that Linda gathers opinions from residents throughout town, in addition to her own, before making a final decision and casting a vote.

For the critical activities impacting West Windsor over the next few years, please re-elect Linda Geevers so we can all benefit from her talents and expertise.

(I am a past member of the West Windsor Township Planning Board and served as President of the Windsor Haven Condominium Association for many years. I write this letter as an individual and the opinions expressed are my own.)

Debra L. Lemeshow, West Windsor

Marathe, Geevers, Charles Are Proven Leaders

Leadership is essential to any organization. A good leader has a vision for their organization, and has the skills and willingness to do the work to move that vision forward.

Hemant Marathe and Linda Geevers have shown through more than two decades of service to our community, including on the School Board and WW government, the quality of their leadership. Their experience provides them with a deep understanding of the complexity of the issues West Windsor faces, a desire to connect with residents in seeking solutions, and effective ways to work with surrounding communities and the state structures.

I have known Hemant and Linda for more than 20 years, since we served on the WW-P School Board together. Though we may not always agree on a given issue, I have found that they both do the research to understand all sides of an issue, listen to concerns from residents, and seek fiscally responsible solutions for the good of the whole community. In my interactions with Joe Charles in the last year or so, he has shown the same kind of leadership skills.

Hemant, Linda and Joe have shown that the purpose of their service is the greater good of West Windsor. Please join me in voting for Marathe, Geevers, and Charles, proven leaders, in November!

Diane Hasling, West Windsor

Marathe, Geevers, Charles Offer Steady Leadership

Having lived in West Windsor for more than 65 years and worked in the township for more than 35 years, I have developed a deep appreciation for our community’s values, needs, and aspirations. Over the decades, I have had the opportunity to observe and interact with many individuals who have led our township. Today, I would like to share my views on three notable candidates: Hemant Marathe for Mayor; Linda Geevers and Joe Charles for Council.

I worked closely with Hemant Marathe when he was a member of Council and as Mayor and although we may not have always agreed on some of his decisions, he was always willing to hear my point of view not only as a staff member, but also as a long-time resident. I have also observed his willingness to engage with residents and listen to differing viewpoints, which is crucial for effective leadership in a diverse community like ours. Over the past eight years he has demonstrated a clear commitment to fiscal responsibility such as keeping our municipal taxes with little or no increase. His approach to township governance often centers on careful planning and ensuring that residents’ tax dollars are used efficiently. From his time on the school board to his tenure in township leadership, he has been consistent in advocating for transparency and accountability. Hemant has been active in many volunteer organizations within the Township, which is a quality I commend.

During my time working at the Township, I worked closely with Linda Geevers who always reviewed each item before Council, asked the tough questions, and did her research. Linda’s long-standing service to West Windsor is hard to overlook both while on the School Board and as a Council member. Her background in public service has given her a broad perspective on the township’s evolving needs. I have found her to be approachable, open-minded, and genuinely invested in the well-being of all residents. Linda consistently seeks balanced solutions, particularly on issues related to development, open space, and community services. Her experience is an asset, especially when navigating complex municipal challenges. Linda has been engaged in the community not only as a member of the Council, but as a volunteer in many organizations throughout the Township.

Joe Charles brings a fresh perspective to township leadership. Having seen various administrations come and go, I recognize the importance of new ideas and energy. Joe’s background in community involvement especially with the “Vote No” campaign last year to maintain our current form of government and his proactive stance on civic engagement resonate with many residents who seek more direct communication with their leaders. While he may not have as many years of direct township service as his fellow candidates, his enthusiasm and willingness to learn are commendable. Joe would represent the interests of a new generation in West Windsor.

I urge all residents to get out and vote on November 4th.

Gay M. Huber, (Huber is former West WIndsor Township Clerk.)

Marathe, Geevers, Charles Put Residents First

On November 4, my vote is for the Marathe-Geevers-Charles campaign.

Hemant Marathe has served our West Windsor community for over 20 years working his way through the school Pta, township volunteer committees, the school board, township Council and finally Mayor for two terms. As a former WW township Council member myself, I have seen Hemant at work – he’s thoughtful and caring, always accessible and responsive to resident concerns and committed to putting West Windsor above outside interests.

Linda Geevers has a long record of public service. I was on the Planning Board with Linda as Council member representative and she was consistently thorough and analytical. On Council, she’s committed to advancing resident interests whether it be for investments in infrastructure, improving stormwater management practices or growing commercial ratables in town.

I have spent less time with Joe Charles but I was impressed with his enthusiastic support and leadership role of the non-partisan campaign last year, a cause I supported as well.

With the Marathe-Geevers-Charles campaign, I am confident that West Windsor is in capable hands free of outside influence. Vote for them on November 4.

Jyotika Bahree, West Windsor resident and current West Windsor Planning Board Member

Charles Is a Dedicated Community Voice

We are writing to share a few words about Joe Charles, who is running for the town Council. We have had the pleasure of knowing Joe for many years, and we are proud to support him in this next chapter.

Joe is exactly the kind of person we want representing our town. He is intelligent, reasonable, and thoughtful. He approaches every issue with careful consideration, weighing all sides before making a decision. That may come from his background as an accountant, but his choices always come from the heart. Joe genuinely cares about the people in his life and the community he calls home.

His family reflects that same community spirit. His children are active in local sports and regularly volunteer at a soup kitchen, his wife is involved in the local school community, and together as a family they foster and find homes for rescue dogs. You’ll find Joe at local charity events, neighborhood gatherings, and youth sporting events. He shows up – consistently and wholeheartedly.

We’ve seen Joe roll up his sleeves time and time again, whether he’s grilling for West Windsor Little League concessions or knocking on doors to campaign for a cause that matters. He’s committed to making our town the best it can be. His motivation for running is simple: he loves West Windsor and wants to see it thrive.

Joe’s selflessness, steady approach, and deep commitment to our town make him an ideal candidate for the town Council. His involvement in local organizations gives him valuable insight into what matters most to our community and what it will take to get things done.

Please join us in supporting Joe Charles for West Windsor Town Council. He will be a thoughtful and dedicated voice for all of us.

Jim & Katy Coyle, West Windsor

Charles Brings Integrity and Action

As proud residents of West Windsor for more than a decade, we are proud to call this community our home. Together, we have raised two children who studied in the WW-P school system. Beyond our role as parents and neighbors, we are deeply engaged professionally and civically: one of us is a recognized leader in the industry, founder of two trusts, and a long-standing advocate of innovation, while the other is a medical doctor serving in a senior leadership role at a leading pharmaceutical company. With this perspective as active, invested members of West Windsor, we write with great confidence in endorsing Joe Charles for a seat on the West Windsor Council.

We have known Joe and his family for more than 10 years, and during this time, we have seen firsthand his character, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our community. Joe is not only a warm and approachable neighbor, but also a true community leader. We first witnessed his dedication when he spearheaded the successful effort to keep West Windsor non-partisan, serving as Vice-Chair of the “Vote No” campaign. Joe went door-to-door, engaging residents in thoughtful conversations, explaining the issues clearly, and—most importantly—listening carefully to people’s perspectives. This ability to lead with both conviction and empathy is exactly what makes Joe the right choice for our town.

We also experienced Joe’s responsiveness and follow-through personally. In a casual conversation, we shared concerns about the condition of local roads and the need for a traffic signal. Joe promptly raised the issue with the township’s Engineering department and ensured we received immediate updates and clarity. That level of accountability and action is exactly the kind of leadership residents deserve on the Council.

Professionally, Joe brings nearly three decades of experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He has built a successful career leading diverse teams, advising organizations on complex financial matters, and serving on not-for-profit boards. His ability to combine practical business expertise with inclusive leadership will serve West Windsor well in navigating important community decisions.

Joe and his wife, Deborah, have been proud residents of West Windsor for 17 years, raising their two children in the WW-P school system. As close neighbors, we have personally witnessed their family’s remarkable commitment to service through fostering 15 rescue dogs over the past seven years—two of which they adopted themselves and several now living with other West Windsor families.

In every interaction, Joe demonstrates a combination of integrity, empathy, and action. He is a patient listener, thoughtful decision-maker, and dedicated community member. We are confident that Joe will bring these qualities—and more—to his role on the West Windsor Council.

We strongly support Joe Charles and encourage our fellow residents to join us in electing him to represent the best interests of our diverse, vibrant, and forward-looking community.

Nandan Kaluskar & Smita Dhumal, West Windsor

Marathe Shows Compassionate, Steady Leadership

My first experience with our Mayor, Hemant Marathe was during Covid when I reached out while trying to find a way to continue High school sports in our district. He listed and offered practical advice to support our community’s youth, during one of the most trying times in their lives. His compassion and common-sense approach were refreshing from a public official. Even though my efforts were defeated, I learned that beyond his role as Mayor, he was kind hearted humble and fair.

My second intersection came during another difficult time. A tornado had just torn through our community, changing the landscape of our street, Conover Road, in less than a minute. As neighbors gathered to console one another while the dust and debris were still settling, I looked up to see Hemant walking carefully down our street, assessing the damage with his own eyes and ensuring our community was safe. Just as he had done during Covid, he remained calm, thoughtful and supportive.

I am confident that Mayor Hemant Marathe will continue to serve our community best. He is always accessible, responsive and most importantly he will approach challenges within our community with fairness, honesty and common sense.

Marathe, Geevers, Charles Are the Leadership West Windsor Needs

Leadership isn’t about chasing applause—it’s about making tough calls and living with the consequences long after the crowd disperses. It’s about enduring criticism, standing firm on principle, and forging progress despite the noise. In West Windsor, New Jersey, Mayor Hemant Marathe, Council Vice President Linda Geevers, and Council candidate Joe Charles have exemplified this resolute leadership. As we approach the November 4, 2025, municipal election, their proven track record makes them the clear choice to keep our township thriving.

Hemant Marathe: A Steady Hand for West Windsor

Since becoming West Windsor’s first Indian-American Mayor in 2018, Hemant Marathe has led with intellect and pragmatism, earning a landslide re-election in 2021. His Ph.D. and experience as a partner in an ethnic food distribution business bring a sharp, analytical approach to governance. Under his watch, West Windsor has balanced growth with stability, notably through decisions like prioritizing warehouse development on Route 571 over 575 residential units. This move avoided tax spikes and school overcrowding, showcasing Marathe’s commitment to fiscal responsibility over short-term popularity. His environmental leadership shines through in initiatives like battery recycling drives and support for community art walks, fostering a greener, more connected township. Marathe’s philanthropy—such as selecting Attitudes in Reverse for a $1,000 donation through NJ American Water’s “Mayor’s Charity of Choice”—underscores his dedication to mental health and community well-being.

Linda Geevers: Experience That Delivers

Council Vice President Linda Geevers, a fixture since 2005, brings unmatched expertise from her years as Council president and on the West Windsor Planning Board. Her collaborative, transparent approach has been pivotal in maintaining low taxes while enhancing quality of life. Geevers has championed resident engagement, addressing concerns like summer garbage pickup adjustments with cost-saving pragmatism while ensuring community voices are heard. Her steady presence has helped West Windsor navigate growth without sacrificing its character.

Joe Charles: Financial Acumen for the Future

Joe Charles, a CPA and Council candidate, rounds out this powerhouse team. His financial expertise promises to strengthen West Windsor’s budget management, ensuring taxpayer dollars are used wisely. Charles has already sparked thoughtful community discussions, praising Marathe and Geevers for their accountability while calling out opponents Ajay Tomar, Sujit Singh, and Andrew Winters for lacking clear plans. His focus on transparency, including strongly advocating for preserving our non-partisan elections, aligns with the team’s commitment to open governance.

A Record of Results

This team’s accomplishments speak louder than campaign promises. West Windsor-Plainsboro High Schools North and South rank among New Jersey’s best, with SAT averages of 1,354 and 1,308, respectively—proof of a family-friendly environment bolstered by smart policies. Marathe and Geevers have kept taxes among Mercer County’s lowest, enhanced public safety through expanded community policing, and protected green spaces with sustainability initiatives. These aren’t just talking points; they’re the tangible outcomes of leadership that dares to do the right thing, even when it’s not universally cheered.

The Leadership West Windsor Needs

Leadership is lonely by design. It means being misunderstood by those you serve, facing opposition despite private support, and acting without waiting for thank-you notes. Marathe, Geevers, and Charles have built a “war cabinet” that prioritizes results over validation, guided by a clear mission: a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable West Windsor. Opponents offer vague promises; this team delivers proven management.

On November 4, 2025, choose the leaders who’ve weathered the heat to create change. Vote for Mayor Hemant Marathe, Council Vice President Linda Geevers, and Joe Charles for Council. West Windsor’s future demands nothing less.

Pankaj Patel, West Windsor

Elect Marathe, Geevers, and Charles

I enthusiastically endorse Hemant Marathe for re-election to a third term as Mayor of West Windsor, Linda Geevers for her sixth term on Township Council and newcomer Joe Charles for election to Township Council. This team has the experience, ability, and strong dedication to the community to manage township affairs efficiently and to maintain West Windsor’s high quality of life.

After serving on the school board for twelve years, eight as its president, Hemant was elected Mayor in 2018. Since then, he has kept our municipal taxes virtually flat by encouraging new tax-paying businesses and the impact of state-mandated housing development.

In her twenty years on the West Windsor Township Council, Linda has served two terms as its president and is currently vice-president. Appointed as the Council representative of the Planning Board, Linda is heavily involved in balancing the township’s needs against legal, environmental, and developmental pressures.

Joe Charles is new to the team but not to West Windsor, where he has lived for seventeen years with his wife and two children in our school system. Active in sports and local affairs, he co-chaired the successful Keep West Windsor Non-Partisan campaign to keep the township free of outside political influence. Joe’s experience as a CPA for twenty-nine years will be an invaluable asset in managing our increasingly complex financial affairs.

Hemant, Linda, and Joe are experienced and proven community leaders. I strongly urge you to vote for them on November 5.

Paul Murphy, West Windsor

Marathe, Geevers, Charles Deserve Resident Support

The 2025 Public Election cycle is upon us and thereby the election related signs are popping up all over the town. I think some of my friends are a little perplexed by looking at these and asking me if I’m running for a West Windsor Council seat. A few of those have also called. The fact is that I am Not running.

West Windsor is a great place to live and raise a family. Public service is a tough one to do, you get much more criticism than your fair share. In my opinion, Hemant is inclusive, responsive to our township and our communities in it. He is always accessible and ready to listen to any concerns or new ideas. He has been doing it well for a long time and works hard at it. He is at the forefront of making sure that our township has a fiscally responsible government and is ready to address our township’s needs.

Linda has given her heart and mind to public service in West Windsor for more than two decades. She has always been involved in conversations with township residents to understand their needs and work towards having these addressed.

I am also excited to know that Joe has put up his hand for a West Windsor Council. Last year, our town faced a major challenge to its non partisan form of government. Joe demonstrated excellent leadership and organizational skills in raising awareness among township residents.

I will be voting for team Marathe, Geevers and Charles come November.

Prabhat Tomar. West Windsor

Charles Is the Steady Voice West Windsor Needs

We are proud to endorse Joe Charles for Town Council. Joe is a devoted family man and a longtime resident of our community. Over the years, he has earned a reputation as someone who is reliable, level-headed, and deeply committed to serving others. He has the steady judgment, thoughtful nature, and community focus that are exactly what we need in local leadership.

In his professional life, Joe has built a successful career in finance and business leadership. He is respected for his ability to think analytically, approach challenges strategically, and make thoughtful decisions that balance both immediate needs and long-term goals. These same skills will guide him as a Town Council member, where careful planning and fair decision-making are essential to moving our community forward.

Closer to home, Joe has been a passionate supporter of youth sports and local programs that bring families together. He understands the value these opportunities provide in teaching teamwork, responsibility, and pride in our town. His long-standing involvement reflects his belief in building a stronger, healthier community for the next generation.

Above all, what stands out most about Joe is his character. He is approachable, mild-mannered, and always willing to listen. He is committed to keeping national politics out of local government and focusing instead on the issues that truly matter here; our families, our schools, and our neighborhoods. He’s also known for being a killer Bbq’er, the kind of neighbor we’d all like to have on Town Council.

That’s why we wholeheartedly support Joe Charles for Town Council and encourage you to join us in voting for him.

Robert and Heather Cianchetti, West Windsor

Marathe, Geevers, Charles Offer Experience and Fresh Ideas

I am proud to endorse Hemant Marathe for re-election as Mayor, Linda Geevers for re-election to Council, and Joe Charles for election to Council.

I have known Hemant Marathe for nearly a decade now. Much of that time I have had the privilege of serving on the Planning Board with him. During that period, I’ve had a very good opportunity to observe him closely both as Mayor and as a West Windsor resident. I have to say, above all, Hemant is a good soul. He cares deeply about this town and its residents. He shares the concerns we all have about our quality of life, cost of living, our children’s educational opportunities, safety, etc. This is evident to me in the solutions he presents to Council and the residents. And I have always found him to be a good listener and open minded in our discussion.

Hemant is experienced. He has truly done good work over the past eight years, despite having been handed some challenging cards. I find him to be calm, collected and measured in his approach….all a function of experience as both a Mayor and businessman. What I most appreciate about Hemant is that he remains as upbeat as he was the day he first took office.

Linda Geevers needs no introduction to most residents, she has decades of service to our Council and school board, as well as being involved with numerous civic organizations and volunteer work. She is as dedicated to the community as anyone in West Windsor.

I would like to highly recommend Joe Charles as a new Council member. I have had the pleasure of knowing Joe and his wonderful family for several years now. Joe is a bright and caring person, and a consummate professional who is always willing to help the community and his neighbors. Joe has the dedication, financial experience and communication skills that will ensure that he succeeds as a representative of West Windsor. I am very excited to see his contribution to the town over the next several years.

With Hemant’s experience, the steady hand of Linda Geevers at his side, and a fresh new focus from Joe Charles, I believe this term will be the best one yet.
