Joe & Della Are A Lovely Story

Thank you to the WWP News for writing such a lovely story (“Della & Joe: A War Story, A Love Story,” May 29). I am hoping that this small glimpse into these people’s lives and loves inspires others. I have been blessed for 32 years to call these wonderful loving people family. Joe and Della are my husband’s aunt and uncle (Bob’s son).

While we have shared many joyous family gatherings, we have never sat down and talked about these days. I am grateful for the opportunity to have a glimpse into a time in their lives that we were not here for. My own happy marriage is inspired by the happy marriages of all of Joe and Della and all of the members of my husband’s and mine own families. Thanks to Joe and Della for allowing us to be a part of this great legacy. Bob and I love you both!
