Riddle me this — Washington Road is a complete disaster today. What is it going to be like if Intercap Village comes in and increases the impervious ground area to 95 percent. Where is all the water going to go? How long will it take to recover from a big rain? How will the people exit the low country of Intercap Village when we get big rain? How much will the additional run-off impact other areas along the watershed?
Why do I think this won’t be a serious concern in the planning and approval process, but will be ruinous if it is built?

Quick! If you will put down your TV remote and pull yourself away from pre-season NFL football games or Lassie, I am certain you can see the closure — for a second time this afternoon and early evening — of Washington Road due to flooding. I have the pictures, which you might get laminated for your wallets.
Facts are those pesky things that potentially interrupt not-so-hidden political agendas.
Sarcasm? Not at all. You are the elected stewards (sic) for spending unlimited yet carefully documented taxpayer funds WITHOUT an environmental or economic analysis. Only a government does things backwards, which goes a long way toward explaining our current national economic bimboism.
Who among you would buy a house, car, or major irreversible investment… THEN figure out if you could afford it? Only a government entity or representative.
In fact, neither the WW mayor nor Council have had the courage to place a non-binding referendum to POLL the residents of the wisdom and vision of this mayor and his hand-picked developer. I believe you individually and collectively give back-room deals a bad name.
While many of us are seeking to contain profligate municipal and school spending and reduce taxes to make NJ more affordable, you are spending OUR money WITHOUT our permission. Isn’t that a foreign concept referred to as Taxation Without Representation?
