Yu Taylor Zhong is my neighbor. He knows a lot about the school district and local history. He always explains things to us.
He explained the cost-saving benefits of a combined school district. His article on Plainsboro history is informative and tells us how Plainsboro was founded and Wicoff Elementary School was built.
He wrote a letter proposing to move Teachers Professional Day to Dawali and Chinese New Year, making those two days holidays in the district. His proposal does not change any school days but addresses the concerns in both Chinese and Indian communities.
After the Sandy Hook tragedy, he wrote the article “School Safety Takes Two Villages.” During the lockdown in February he notified many people so that parents could share information.
He loves the community and school district. He communicates with residents.

During my campaign for board of education, I have spoken to hundreds of residents. I have also listened to them carefully.
Those residents include financial professionals, real estate agents, nurses, firefighters, college students, teachers, professors, and many others. They live in apartments, townhouses, or big mansions. They gave me much valuable advice. Several residents even invited me in to discuss issues or to share interesting stories with me.
My letters to the WW-P News addressed some of those concerns, such as shared service and school safety.
Recently several residents mentioned that some out-of-town students are attending WW-P schools. These residents even wrote a letter to the state government. They don’t want to support those students. They want me to help tighten the standards for residence checks and make sure that all students are legal residents of the WW-P district. If elected, I will work with the district on this issue. I will keep listening to residents.
