I moved to Plainsboro about three years ago. I chose WW-P so my kids could get the best New Jersey has to offer. I am glad I did so.
I want to continue to build upon the good the district has to offer and maximize the potential. In addition, I will actively work to improve communications and dialogue of the board with community. I will not refrain from voting no if I have to, however I will first try to convince others of my viewpoint, because a vote against does just that, and does not result in unity. I will make it a personal commitment to get people’s opinions when I make decisions on important topics.
It has become important in recent years that local school boards get more (not complete) independence from the state board. Decisions made by the state are pushed through with no recourse. PARCC is one such example. If managed well, it will mean more decisions in the hands of the local community. I am not advocating complete freedom, but just the right balance.
I came to the United States for my master’s in Engineering from NJIT. My wife is a dentist and runs a dental office in East Brunswick. I have a 7-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl attending Wicoff.
We love biking around town, and recently my son and I participated in a bike ride in support of ADA, starting at the Novo Nordisk campus.
I want to ensure that our kids are ready for real world challenges. Hoping for a great dialogue this election season and looking forward to your vote.
