InterCap’s recent two-page ads and mailings to West Windsor residents urging them to demand that the Mayor and Council settle its lawsuit against the Township are misleading. These propagandized materials would have you believe that a settlement would end the blight along Route 571. That simply is not the case since the lawsuit with InterCap has nothing to do with the condition of Route 571.
We are all very concerned with the deterioration of the Route 571 corridor. The Township will not be bullied, pressured, or influenced by any developer concerned with its own profit and not the West Windsor community at large. We will explore all lawsuit options on the InterCap case. Any settlement will be based on the best interests of the Township.
We agree 100 percent with our residents that the “plywood junction” buildings need to be demolished immediately. The Township is focused on making that happen in conjunction with redevelopment of those sites.
We appreciate the communications from our residents and will work diligently with property owners to create a more vibrant and economically sustainable center of town.
