In its second year, the Crossroads Holiday Youth Gift Collection Program will be collecting gifts to distribute to those served in Crossroads’ treatment and community programs. This year, gifts will be collected at 16 MedExpress Urgent Care New Jersey locations—an increase from seven MedExpress donation collection sites last year.
In Mercer County, the Hamilton Square MedExperss, located at 811 Route 33, will be collecting donations. Gifts and donations will be accepted through Saturday, Dec. 17 at the check-in counter.
“We are thrilled to partner with MedExpress Urgent Care for the second consecutive year to bring holiday joy to the youth we serve,” Crossroads’ Programs CEO Michael Snyder said. “Last year we collected close to 300 gifts at just seven MedExpress locations, so this year we are enthusiastic to expand the program and invite even more of the community to donate.”
Gifts for youth ages 10 to 18 especially are needed. Suggestions include ear buds, cologne, perfume, wallets, purses, book bags, body wash and lotions, winter gloves, winter hats, jewelry, footballs, basketballs, cookbooks, phone chargers and gift cards to clothing stores. MedExpress also will collect personal care items such as toothbrushes, shampoo and deodorant, to be given to Crossroads Programs.
Other participating MedExpress locations include Cherry Hill, Cinnaminson, East Brunswick, Hazlet, Howell, Ledgewood, Lodi, Mount Ephraim, Runnemede, Springfield, Totowa, Vineland, Watchung, Willingboro and Woodbury. Tax-deductible donations can also be made online by clicking on the “donate” button.
Since 1978, Crossroads’ Programs has been assisting youth throughout New Jersey who are homeless, abandoned, abused or otherwise at-risk, to lead healthy, productive lives.
